9/11 and Border Security
Border Security is National Security
For Immediate Release: 9/11/2006
Laredo, Texas -
Grant Rostig gave the following brief speech at the Minuteman rally in Laredo Texas on September 11 2006.
"On 9/11 we all knew things had changed, that terrible day 5 years ago.
As those on Flight 93 responded to the call of duty, America too responded.
Our constitutional Republic is being defended within the rule of law and consistent with our principles of freedom and justice.
We stand here today, in the American tradition of "Good Fences make Good Neighbors", respect for private property and the sovereignty of nations, to proclaim:
Border Security is National Security, on the northern border, the south, the east and west coasts.
The rule of law requires us to regulate the borders humanely, but also effectively. We cannot reward those that break the law.
The patriotic Minutemen are doing a good job highlighting the issue right here in Texas. I thank them for their honest efforts.
One of the primary responsibilities of Congress is to defend the nation and this must be done.
America is strong and so is our response.
We will heal our wounds and we will prevail.
Together we will continue to stand as a shining beacon to the world, of real liberty and true justice for all."
Grant Rostig is the Republican candidate for the 25th Congressional District of Texas in 2006. He is a Liberty-Republican, endorsed by and following in the footsteps of Ron Paul (R) of TX CD 14. For more information please see http://www.Grant4Congress.com
